I would like to see that chart posted.
You don't need a I/C. I went 7 months without one at 6 psi on a stock bottom end. Would I do it again.... hells no but I was stupid.
As far as the t 25 being a better turbo at 8 psi I would agree with that. 8 psi should be nothing for that 57 trim but it will take it alot longer to spool then the t 25. The t 25 would spool sooner and at 8 psi it would pull you to red line with no problem. Look at the people with star kits running close to the same turbo. When they do dyno pulls at low psi they get lower numbers then people with the smaller t3's and smaller MIT. turbos. This is just a fact of life. Now at 15 to 20 psi the 57 trim would blow the t 25 away.

But I am considering a rebuild in the near future, therefore this turbo would also better suit me than t-25. I was always under the impression that a higher flowing turbo would flow more air and thus create more hp if the fuel was there. I guess not if it is out of its efficiency range. Just too much fabricated to get my car setup for a t-25, then redo it to get it setup for a 57 trim.

Okay okay I see you guys are all on the defense about the intercooler, let me explain where I was coming from. On an 85 degree day At 8psi boost and a 70%comp effeciency on the turbo, the outlet temp at 8psi would be about 170F thats not that high! Therefore you dont NEED an intercooler. could one be of benefit, YES but its not required, def not a big expensive FMIC a good used sidemount would work fine. Now at 20psi your looking at temps closer to 300psi now see the big difference there! So all you guys that dont do the math, should figure that stuff before you go jumping ont he you have to have thing. Sorry to step on toes but I was just trying to save some headache and money for you!

Yea that is also like saying go turbo and skip the fuel though. Why risk those higher temps at all if you can have lower ones without that much more work? Especially when it fills your grill with more bling bling than Nelly's teeth.

Yes but until rebuild you could get all stock used turbo stuff next to nothing, I know people got a shit load of stock stuff sitting around selling for cheap. You could get a complete setup with turbo for less than 300 I would be.

Is the Hahn one for $600.00 a steal even though the JRC 8" is $215?

I'm not trying to prove you wrong, there may be some factor with the Hahn FMIC that makes it better than the JRC..I know Hahns is bigger..Any other factors..Please fill me in.

The hahn kit is a direct bolt in and already has pipes preformed for it. I am more than willing to pay the extra money for something that I know is going to work. I like the idea of not having to fabricate pipes, brackets, etc. For some people that is part of the fun of building a car. To me, finished product is the driving force.

I know it's a direct bolt on, and the pipes are routed for the hahn kit. Every kit has alittle something different...He's going the custom route anyways, anyone willing to do that much fabrication, better be willing to do alittle more for IC pipes, or they will never make it turbo'd.

wooterz for that one LOL. Makin my ic pipes was fun...and damn it's sexy, for custom of course hahaha. only short route for me ;)

Ok show me how how to get a turbo, manifold, piping from turbo to tb, fuel pump, and fmu for under 300. I got my 57 trim for 101$, and to me that is a steal. 100 for the pump, 50 for the fmu (and it was hard to find for 50), manifold for 200 and basic press bent autozone piping for around 40. That comes out near 500$ already, and there is still no gauges, oil lines, bov, or downpipe.

LOL, I sure don't have any gallery pics LOL.

Have u searched for threads started by me? I always put tons of pics in my threads hehe, especially the rebuild one a little while back. I definitely remember taking pics of the piping and what not to put on here, but I guess they either never made it on here, or never even made it from my camera to computer LOL

I'll have to check on that when I get home :thumb:
