When I bought my 91 GSX it had a big FMIC on it. The piping for it is not to bad except for one pipe. The inlet/outlet are on opposite sides. That didnt seem to work to well for this car. So there is a pipe running under the car and then up. The pipe that is under the car leaves me about 4 inches of ground clearence. I have already ripped it off twice bottoming out. Now the decision to make is get different FMIC with inlet/outlet on the same side or get some custom piping made for the one I currently have, or any other suggestions anyone may have. Im open to just about anything right now.

You better get another one/FMIC/ cause this one sems like e-bay unit and not that is something wrong with it, it is just the way piping runs. From your description sounds like most of the units they lut on 2G cars. Inlet and outlet are on opposite sides, but the real problem is that on a FMIC, intended for 1G cars the piping would face the motor, not the tires and this way you wouldn't need to run the pipes under the car to begin with. It is up to you really. What do you want to do.

From the pic in your gallery I see that the car still has the stock j-pipe coming off of the turbo. Several vendors make a side-to-side FMIC oriented J-pipe that routes the piping to the driver's side of the car. You can pick up some aluminum bends, t-bolt clamps and some couplers for fairly cheap on ebay and all you'll need then is a little time, some patience and a hacksaw to cut the piping to the right length and bolt it up with the couplers.

Also, you should really be running a BOV that recirculates without a MAFT...
