flywheel problem

ok so i have a six bolt and all ready to drop it in the car but when i try to turn it , it would get stuck so i took the tranny off and the flywheel is hiting the inside of my bellhousing and i cant figure out why the only thing i can think of that the flywheel i have is of a awd i have a fwd.........please someone help , need to get back on the road

Quite possible. The AWD ones are a little larger, but only by a small amount. What kind is it? What was the part number on the box or did you just get it with the 6 bolt?

i got it with the motor i have a act but for a seven bolt which i used maybe 5 miles and know its useless............

Did you say your using the 7 bolt flywheel? that would be your problem

Yep, the flywheels are different. You need a FWD flywheel with your FWD car. The ring gear on the FWD flywheels is slightly larger than an AWD. I'm assuming your starter is just spinning and not engaging your flywheel when you start it. This is why.

Pick up a FWD flywheel and you should be good to go.

Did you say your using the 7 bolt flywheel? that would be your problem

You wouldn't be able to bolt up a 7-bolt flywheel to a 6-bolt crank at all.

no i didnt try using the seven bolt flywheel i was just mentioning that i have one sorry didnt mean to confuse and the motor is still out of the car
