Niagara,
Well, I've put some serious money into my cars engin, and i'm wondering about getting a new radiator, aftermarket of course. I did a quick search and read about peoples opinions towards them. I didnt find the answer I was looking for though.

What I'd like to know is, how much does the fluidyne radiator reduce engine temperatures? I dont know if the answer to this question will vary depending on mods and such, but if someone could give me an idea, that would really help me with my decision. Thanks guys

Um... I don't know if you know this, but Fluidyne doesn't make radiators for our cars...

Also, radiators don't reduce engine temperatures. The coolant temperature is basically determined by the thermostat. The advantages of upgraded radiators lay within how efficiently they exchange coolant heat to ambient air. All metal, OE style radiators have a greater chance of becoming "heat soaked" if your combustion chambers are soaring due to high boost or nitrous. All aluminum radiators are designed to get rid of that heat more efficiently. I'd think that you'll be OK with an all-metal Radiator Barn-type radiator, though. I've heard of people running those in the scorching hot desert heat without having any probems.

That's impossible... Fluidyne doesn't make a radiator for our cars, just for 4G63s.

Unless someone has cut off and re-welded the ports on the end tanks (not to say that this has never been done, or that it is hard to do...), that radiator will not fit your car.

Even the product number doesn't exist: FHP11-95MIT-NT. FHP-95MIT is the number for Fluidyne's 2G 4G63 radiator, but FHP-95MIT-NT simply doesn't exist. I don't know what this company is trying to pull, but I don't like it...

Theres a member with an N/T that has a fluidyne rad with his 2g N/T (its turbo'd). I believe his name is SilverEclipseT.

I'd really like to get all the facts before I buy this...I dont want to get stuck with the wrong radiator. Thankd again.

Hey Paul, I know that they did make them at one time. Maybe IF they don't ,it is NOS (New Old Stock)?

Here's an old thread from 2gnt:

IDK if they make them anymore. But that being said, you can install a fluidyne on your lawn tractor if you want. You just have to modify :p .

I thought I would take this opportunity to show you my latest mod/idea (in case you want to go this route).

These are pics of my new radiator. It's made for a Honda Civic OMG .

I altered the mounts and hose route. It holds right around 197 degrees in city driving with stock thermostat (though I haven't run into sitting traffic yet and I don't have my fan yet).
The turbo Integra boys use these when they do the turbo install. Plenty safe. If you want to know more about how/why. I'll continue.

I don't know, but they don't even show the input/output ports in their picture, so I can't make an accurate judgement. Perhaps it's NOS, or a modified 4G63 version, or maybe they're just trying to pawn a straight 4G63 version off as a 420A version...

Actually I know for a fact that they sell fluidyne radiators for our n/t cars, i purchased one last summer after mine took a $&!t. I got it from ebay at Kuruma Motoring? I think, and It cost me around $350. It fit perfect, and I installed it by myself in about 40 min. Like stated earlier the radiator itself doesnt really lower coolant temps, but atleast now I dont have to worry about this radiator rusting through. Just go to ebay and search for eclipse fluidyne radiator and there shoud be a coulple that say 95-99 eclipse oem aluminum radiator. Make sure you get the one for n/t though.

I have never seen one in person, but there is a guy on 2gnt selling one right now.

I want to say I heard of them making a model for the NT, but it's not listed on their site and I've heard a lot of people talk about how they have to be modified. Personal experience time: I did help a buddy install a Griffin into his boosted 2GNT. Took a bit of modification, but man is it purdy. Increased coolant capacity by almost 50%!

Alright guys, I talked to the guy I get my parts from and he gave me the option of the Fluidyne or this rad;

Has anyone heard of that bad boy? I'm leaning towards the Fluidyne, but that one also comes with fans. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

I think that's the same aluminum radiator Radiator Barn sells (see post #12). I remember seeing that box in a posted picture when someone else on the Forums bought through them...
