I am going to be replacing the flew section tomorrow , good bye horrible exhaust leak!, and I was planing on cutting the bad section out and welding in the new section. I was told you can use clamps and they work just as good. I am kind of weary about that idea but I was just woundering if either way works.

i hope you have a lift, otherwise have fun crawling around on your back. :D If you've got access to a welder you might as well weld it. I believe I've read somewhere on here that clamping up exhuast tended to have leaks.

yes, just the flex section. Where the downpipe and flex meet is where the leak is at.

I can't remember if it is all one peice or not. If it is all welded together then I thought I could cut it out and put the new one in because looking at them they come with enough pipe on the ends to be able to weld them back on. I will be doing this all myself, maybe it would just be easier to buy a whole new downpipe?
