Flashing cable question

Ok so here is the situation. I am out of a cable right now. I am using evoscan/ecuflash and needa tune ASAP. A buddy has dsm link and of course their cable. Is the link cable able to work with evoscan/ecuflash without any problems?

As far as I know the link cables won't do it. You should try and let us know. I'm guessing it's a 2G link setup? Try installing it with the OP1.3 drivers and seeing if it works.

Are you using an EVO ECU or a plastic DSM box? The EVO units can be flashed with a vag-com cable off of ebay. The 98-99 H8 DSM computers need an OP2.0.
