1g Data Cable Question

I just got the cable from DSMparts.com
WHAT THE ????? The cable end is male! HOW AM I
SUPPOSED TO PLUG THAT INTO MY LAPTOP??
DB9 Male... WTF

The connection isn't just simple pin-outs either,
there's a little circut board. Anyone else
run into this issue?

Well, evidently, you ordered a cable for a palm and not a laptop. You will need a gender converter to plug it into your laptop. You should be able to find it at any computer or electronics store for a few $.

A lot of the cables I have seen have the circuit board on the diagnostic port end. Either email them or show us a pic and we can tell you which wire goes where.
