just got my engine done and i find that turning the engine over by hand the belt wants to sit off the back of the cam about 1/8 in but it never moved from that spot it stays there all the pulleys line up perfect. i just installed aem cam gears and im trying to understand why they wont go back against the seal like that stock ones did. can somebody help me figure this out so i can turn this thing over?

I also installed 'COMP CAMS' camshafts. I still can not get the gears to go back far enough,. Can anyone help?????????

alright im bringin this back, i also have this same problem on my engine, i too have aem trutime gears and comp cams, HELP. looks like the intake cam wobbles a little. dont know if this is a comp cam issue or what. please somebody help a fellow dsm'r? thnx

I don't have any experience with comp cams but when I installed my AEM cam gears I didn't have the cam gear lined up properly and I was hitting the dowel pin. They stick out about 1/8". You should check them for clearance.
