Figuried i would start posting some of my rebuild pics here, though i didnt get too many pictures previously i plan to start taking more as things continue progressing.
Car: 1995 talon awd 5 speed
Previous setup:
Stock engine
evo III 16g
SSAC FMIC
act 2600 clutch
act lw flywheel
shep stage 2 trans
255hp rewired pump
750cc injectors
dsmlink v3
turbo ate itself after only 700 miles, guessing oiling issue but not totally sure.
I was pushing coolant a bit so i was going to do a new head gasket, so i got the head off.
I then got to thinking and thought wth i will do a full rebuild, and things have snowballed from there. Current plan is rebuilt / upgraded internals and a minor cleanup/restore bushing job.
Engine out and bay cleaned up some, still more to do.
Result of transfer case leaking and getting mixed with dirt and coated underside of the car. Working slowly to get this cleaned up.
Collection of new parts.
From left to right starting at the top, fuel lab fuel fiter with metal screen for e85, eagle rods, wiseco pistons, tial wastegate, o2 housing, hotside for hx35 bolt-on DSM, valves, bronze valve guides, revised lifters, 1200cc injectors, hx35 turbo, rebuilt 1g TB, evo III intake manifold (fits bigger 1g TB, shorter runners), hks 272/272 cams, cometic MLS headgasket, tank to rail 6an fuel line kit.
Have some more parts i will get pics of soon. Have the spindle/control arm kit comming next week. Need to get some upper ball joints and then i plan on redoing the front passanger and driver side wheel well / suspension.
