first turbo dsm. 95 gsx

Hey guys this is my first turbo dsm pretty excited about it its all stock except new exhaust and has a k an n air filter. Im not sure how much i want to mod but i would like to update. the bov to something louder i have a type rs bov it has a 2 bolt oval flange what adapers would i need to go on that stock boost pipe. It does have a round adapter plate but the hole is huge compared to stock. Cars only got 100 thousand miles needs a carrier bearing rattling bad other than that nice car. Has engine light for coolant temp staying to low and an 02 sensor as well

Make sure you keep your bov recirculated if you do change it out, unless you're running speed density or a GM MAF.

Oh, and maintenance first.

Sounds like time for timing belt, water pump, etc. Even if the previous owner said it was done its a good idea to do it so you KNOW its been done. No you cannot. It has to be released back to the intake. If you install a "GM MAF" and MAF Translator or DSMlink then you can let it vent were ever you want!

Simply upgrading to hard piping, an emissions delete (if your state allows), getting rid of that joke of stock 2g BOV, and upping the boost a few lbs will make a noticeable difference. Now, emissions really doesn't do too much besides eliminate potential areas for boost leaks/vacuum leaks and clean up the engine bay, but I personally enjoy them myself.

You should, however, make basic upkeep your priority. Change your fluids, plugs, wires, filters, and make sure to keep the proper fluids/lubes in your transfer case/rear end.

It sounds like you should be focusing on working through the problems you have with your car before trying to mod things for sound. Because no matter how many heads you think you will turn with a louder bov, a rattle and a clank will turn more for a worse reason.

When you do change out to the new BOV you have, you might as well upgrade to hard upper intercooler piping, it will be able to handle strain better than stock. And it looks cooler too .

You can change your recirc tube to a hard pipe that will make it ten times louder

Another question im getting a code p0170 wich is fuel trim. All my 02 sensors are reading but the previous owner cut thr cat converter out rear 02 sensor is reading around .8 volts. Doesnt seem to be missfiring this this is the cause of this code
