We run similar setups, I do have an magnus manifold and some web street cams and 3" exhaust. But For lag what kind of timing are you running? That genrally effects how I spool a lot. My cars first trip to the track wasn't impressive either 11.7@125 with 2 sec 60"s. You car does appear to be more laggy though, what gear where you in, in that 40mph race? Running from 40 my car is MUCH more violent than that. Then again its running much better than last time it hit the track.

Good luck with your setup.

I was in second gear. I run 5deg btdc and Im not sure of the advance as my loger broke. I have the afc leaned out somewhere around -5 so that may be helping me a little with advance, prolly 18-19deg. Also in the vid I was revving to 8k. Stock cams suck ass with a big turbo and sheetmetal intake.

2ND gear, stock cams must really effect performance hugly. Never ran them with the SMI and big turbo, but yeah 2nd gear at that speed would have wanted to turn the tires over and throw the car around. I seem to get v8 style spool with advance at 18 or so but make more power on race gas and high boost with 22degrees of advance at 9K. Wideband gets here Monday and with most of my problems fixed now I hope to get the car running up to par by the next track visit.

Whmm, what are the differences between the SCM61 and the 3065? I have been running the SCM61 for about 3 months now and it is laggy as sheite. Its like driving n/a unless I go passed 70% throttle. Oh and before I get ragged on...my listed time was with my old evoIII 16g. I coasted after the 1/8 marker because of a broken tranny (missed shift).

The difference is the turbine wheel and housing. 3065 uses a custom FP turbine housing with a GT30 turbine wheel. The SCM61 uses a T350 or T31 turbine wheel, in a generic cast turbine housing designed to mate a GT40 comp. wheel CHRA (same comp. wheel in a 3065) to our stock manifolds.

As for the lag, welcome to the world of stock 7.8:1 compression, and big turbos.

I'm not complaining...it is fun as hell when it hits though. My car is very roughly tuned so I can still add timing and remove fuel to aid in spool up. I also still need to install my QTP exh. cut out...just need to make up my mind on where exactly to put it. Sorry to change subjects...thanks for the info tho.
