So far I have accomplished the following:
- Block bored to 85.5mm, honed and regrind surface for the MLS headgasket
- Some head optimizations. Just leveled the bumps and edges inside the head port and cleaned valve seats. The ports will be polished.
- Optimized the block-head oil connection for a better flow having in mind that the head and block will be 1-2mm shorter.
- shaved the valve cover and polished it. It will be powder coated with red or black (still making up my mind). The color scheme of the engine compartment has to be black, silver and red.
- Also welded 2 -10AN bungs for the JMF Oil Catch can.

While there is space to work because of the missing engine I installed the intercooler. It is a CX Racing 29х9х3" FMIC. The trick here was that I really didn't want to be left without a bumper under the bumper cover so a friend of mine had an Audi A3/A4 bumper which he cut and shaved so it can fit under the bumper cover. It had a similar to DSM form already and only needed a few minor changes to be adapted. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the process. I just could get 1-2 pictures with my phone. The bad thing is that it will hold the bumper cover and when removing it the intercooler will have to go along (not a big deal for me)
So. I hope next 2 weeks I will be able to assemble the engine and show my progress here
