So I'm trying to set base timing on my MAF-T and Dataloger for the first time so I can start mid and WOT tuning. Im really confused by the reading I'm getting. At one point in my log im getting max knock at 43 counts, but at the same time my timing advance goes past 30 at some points. On different things I read, it says that if you run timing advance about 20-25 at any point that you should turn up boost. But then I also read that if you are having a huge amount of knock that you should turn the boost down, that its usually set too high... Confusing!!! Anyone with some input?

if your getting knock turn down timing. you really shouldent start off with high boost right off the bat. start low and work your way up.

I'll try to post a log I just do not have Excel on my computer to post logs. The boost is at 9PSI so I know its not too high since they run stock around 9 or ten right? And I've read the stuff before about the "Before you post Logs" and yes I've taken care of all of that.

well apparently you have not read it because you have not posted any of the asked information. what are you tuning with? stock boost on a 2g is 15psi, i think the 14b is also around there.
