So like the title says I am currently piecing together my fmic setup and I ran into a little trouble. I have the apexi front mount which uses that long route piping. I have been searching for almost a full day and can't seem to find the list of bends and stuff that I will need for the setup. I already have the uicp from the stock smic to the bend that goes to the tb, (meaning that the bend going to the tb is not hard piping). I would just like to know what pieces of pipe and bends I will need to order (pretending that I am going to replace the hard piece that I already have with the bov on it for a new one). Thanks in advance guys and if for some reason in my 24 hours of searching I missed over it just give me a link.

Looking at my IC piping, you'll need three 90 degree bends on each side and some straight piping in order to get the piping in the engine bay. From there I cannot tell because the setup maybe different for the 1g and 2g. The best thing to do is to mount the FMIC and visual what bend are needed and how much straight pipe you need to connect in between the bends. Shouldn't be that hard or you can looking at this; IC piping pics please.

That's your IC? A few things are pre-dictated for you. The size of the pipes going to the inlet and the outlet of the IC, the size of pipe going to your J pipe (or turbo outlet for the T25), and the throttle body adapter. Obviously if any of these are different from each other, you know you will need a reducer of some type.

Next, decide where you want to put the pipes. It looks like that is configured to go where the SMIC originally was. You could even adapt it up to the stock pipes with couplers and save yourself some headache.

You may also consider chopping up the body in the D shaped ports to shorten the piping length.

Using this information you can just look at it and see how many bends you'll need. Everything else is straight pipe which you can get at any parts store. If you reuse the stock pieces the minimum I can see you needing are 4 90's (two for the feed from the turbo outlet and to get it paralelel with the bumper, the other two to send the outlet of the IC towards the back of the car and up into the stock pipe) and enough straight pipe to get across the car and back.

Make sense?

you are in luck. Ebay sells just the piping for that kit. Why they sell just the piping who knows, but you are lucky they do. They are specifically for that apex/obx fmic.

just do a search on ebay for "eclipse intercooler" and you should see it. If not, you suk at teh intraweb. :)

but again the piping that comes with the apexi/obx kits are just piping that go to the stock SMIC location.

the upper ic pipes are not included, thats why everybody just goes for the SS auto kit for $300 which is better in everyway and includes all the piping, but that is another thread, which i believe has already been discussed. :)

your post makes it seem like you want to replace the upper ic piping, which is confusing because the title talks about the fmic.

if you want cheap upper ic piping which is complete that will route back to the stock SMIC and WILL connect perfectly for the apexi/obx fmic piping..

Yes that is the intercooler I have. I did find some good pictures to give me an idea of the bends that I will need however some of them look custom maybe (at least in the pictures I found), and seemed to be like a 90 but made of of 3 thirty degree bends or something as well as a few others that didn't look like any of the ones I've seen for sale. Anyway, I'll have to check out some kits on ebay to see what I can get. I do currently have the uicp that holds the bov, but between that and the throttle body is still a piece of crappy stock hose. I was just wondering about the uicp's because the one piece I have holding the bov is painted red and all chipped up and if I'm ordering piping already I figured I might as well make it look uniformed. I may end up just stripping the paint off and polishing it up. If anybody else has any suggestions or tips for when I get this going, it would be appreciated, and thanks for all your help so far.
