this is my first time posting here. been searching around a few and figured id sign up. i recently bought a 99 GS oz rally edition and so far been loving it till today. i decided to replace the wheel bearing do to it being noisy, while in there i noticed the lateral ball joint and the trailing arm ball joints both had play so i finished up the wheel bearing and screwed the cv shaft threads up when i was knocking the bearing off so i forked out that money. then to find out the 2 ball joints were 300$$
and im stuck at work so got the parts shipped down, changed the front ball joint no problem. go to change the trailing arm one and the bolt snapped right off.
so i left that one on till tomorrow. but my question is what have you guys done to fix this. i had came up with 2 ideas. 1st weld a nut on the end and try to remove it again. or 2 cut the head of the bolt off the other side. remove the arm. replace the new one on the studs that are still in the cradle and weld the arm holes to the studs. and if that would ever need replaced again just grind the welds off?
