I've read up on the procedure and searched the site and got a lot of info on the job. Some posts were really old . Just ordered timing assembly, belts, seals pulleys/tentioner, and waterpump from the local dealer. keeping the balance shaft Until rebuild, only going to have mild Mods for now. Any updated tips or things I'm missing would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, Order this. Jay Racing Timing Belt Tools Kit [TBTS] - $50.00 : Jay Racing

I promise it'll make the job 10x easier. Zipties help too..

I've never done the job inside the engine bay but im sure if you take your time it shouldn't be that difficult especially with that tool.^^

Good luck

When I did my tbelt job earlier this week, I printed out the vfaq for timing belt job, and followed it closely step by step. Sam from RRE told me that when I'm ready to pull the grenade pin from the tensioner, it should come out with no friction whatsoever, and after pulling it try reinserting it into the tensioner after 60 seconds. If it goes right in, you're golden.

Thank you, and I planned on having Vfaq print outs with me along with the factory manual I picked up online. and I see that tool I was asking about comes in that kit from jays racing.
