DOHC or DOHC 2000???

i have a 1992 mitsubishi eclipse GS nonturbo and i want to know what is my engine type is it 4g63 or 4g67?

and by the way what is the 4g67 engine?and on what car it is used?

is it dohc and if so its a 4g63 dont know what the other one is possibley the 1.8 sohc

I believe you have a 1.8L SOHC motor, then you have a 4g37, not a 4g67. If you have a 2.0L DOHC motor, or any turbo motor, then you have a 4g63.

what si the difference between the 1992 Eclipse DOHC engine and the 1992 Eclipse DOHC 2000 engine?
arent they both 4g63 engines?

the 2000 just means the displacement of the engine. i.e. 2000cc = 2.0 liters. so yes as you are describing your post the engines are the same. 4G63!!!!!

hi i have a 1992 mitsubishi eclispe non turbo and my engine is DOHC 16 valve but not DOHC 2000 will that mean that my car isnt a 2.0 engine????

when my friend lost his valve cover due to several crack he replaced it with one from a hyundai, and his says DOHC 16valve on it, maybe the previous owner was looking in junkyards for a replacement valve cover like my friend was doing? It worked and was only $5. I am pretty sure you you have a 2.0.

4g63 valve covers say a couple different things...as long as your sure its a 4g63 valve cover, then its 2.0l DOHC
