I took my freshly built car to the gas station for its first cruise. I noticed after looking at the log that it was switching between closed loop and open loop randomly. At least it looks random to me. I did follow the video on ecmlink to raise the open loop thresholds to delay it from going into open loop. There was no positive boost during the log. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

i have been trying to understand how this whole tuning thing works as well. now i hope someone on here can help me clarify this.

should I lock it into open loop mode for driving around?

My ecu goes into OL every time I let off the gas pedal, while in gear. I assume that is what you are doing as the TPS goes to zero and TPS volts goes to .63 or so just before OL. I think this is normal.

However it also appears that you go out of OL back to CL while the throttle is still not used. I think you are letting up on the throttle and a few seconds later pushing in the clutch and or putting car in neutral....which will put ecu back into CL. Again I think this is normal.

My ecu reacts quicker than I see on your log, going from OL to CL in this situation. I would take a peak at your TPS and see if its hooked up good and is working correctly. The reason I say this is because your WBFactor is spiking.....something mine does not do. So, make sure WBO2 is hooked up and set up right too.

Please do an idle log only...its very difficult for me to see what is going on when you are shifting and coasting etc.
