i have watched all the ecmlink demos and have looked at other logs before, just havent changed anything before. in the pulls i seen there was zero knock, so its safe to say i can advance timing. also the inj duty cycle looks to be around 65%. this was just a few second gear pulls so im sure the longer im under load the duty cycle will bump up. just looking to hear what you guys have to say about kei's tune. it will be getting the fp 3065 i have put on in the summer along with some bigger injectors(e85 or meth). so until now just looking to get everyones 2 cents. thanks, justin

forgot the log:p

The timin tables are not nly very low but there's large jumps in timing in cells next to each other, having large changes from one cell to the next makes for high timing "attack" rates (even though some are retarding they are going down far rnough that when you get back into a cell with decent timing the jump is too high fo a smooth and knock free operation)

Some of the cells with only 1-2 or even 0 degrees timing under higher loads at lower RPM's can cause erratic engine noise if you touch into those areas. as a general rule of thumb i try and keep each cell moving in 1* increments and 2 at the most.. also the target AFR's are REALLY high even for pump gas, which just like e85 will rich knock, i'd set them to the 11.5 range and 12.0 range bu8t that's just me

I tune a lot of "access port" systems on subarus and today on an RX8 and even on pump i'm aiming for 12.0 - 12.5 and with the wideband showingthose actaul values i'm getting less knock than going into 9.5 and 10:1 ranges

I'm no DSMlink expert, but tables are tables and although others may not agree with my modified tables i'll post them up by morning (got stuff to get done tonight)

great info man, like i said i havent tuned with link before. would it be safe to change the values to 11.5 all the way across or should i make a gradual transition into 11.5 like starting at 12.2 or 12.5 and in the middle hold 11.5 across.

it would be awesome if someone in the area could show me how to use it, i just dont know anyone around here with link or a dsm for that matter.

should i change the timing as well? i noticed that it jumps from 13 to 16 for example. shouldnt i continue to go down in timing? if i was getting no knock at 16, could i change the 13s to say 17s or 18s and leave the 16s up top to smooth it out? i know it needs more than just that one example. it seems to idle well after it warms up as well. other than those two issues is everything else ok?
