Ok, If i place my 98 ECU in my 98 GSX it fires and runs. Once I put in the 95 ECu w/dsm link it does not fire. Any ideas? I did swap the plugs and pulled a running 95 ecu out of another car but still will not run. What could cause the 98 to run but not the 95? HELP!!!!

Not an expert but from what i understand if your car is an 98 theres an option on the dsm link to swap via link and not physically. If you swapped it on the motor and the option is already selected on the link your probably undoing what your attempting to accomplish. Make sure you do one or the other not
both.

I believe the ECU has to be chipped as well not just a 95 ecu... As i said before not an expert. Do a search i'm sure this has been covered before.

yeah thats right i misunderstood your ?...

Try the dsmlink forums i got this from there site:

"For 1G DSMLink, nothing. For the 2G guys, the '95-'96 style Cam Angle Sensor (CAS) sends out a signal that's electrically "inverted" from other DSM cam sensors (1G or '97+ style). When you put a '95 ECU into a car with a non-95 CAS, the ECU ends up swapping the firing order of the injectors. In most cases, this produces very little noticeable difference in drive quality. But we offer the option to invert the CAS signal anyway just in case. You can selectively invert this signal with the DSMLink software as you wish. You will still need to swap your spark wires, though. We can't control spark firing order in the EPROM at crank time. So even with CAS inversion, you still have to swap plug wire 1 with 2 and 3 with 4."
