Nope haven't had any issues. Allthough this is not a acufab throttle body, I have just a bone stock mustang throttle body off of a 2000 mustang gt I beleive. Works like a charm.:thumb:
 
Do you still have the OEM valves with the crower springs?

Everyone is telling my the OEM valves don't like the extra spring pressure and heads can fall off.

They are apparently working for you though. How long have you been running them like that?

I've never heard of a thing like that before. I have been using the OEM valves for about 3 years now, motor and head has about 35k miles on it as of now whithout any issues of any kind.

Just got my Twin disc clutch the other day, 100shot direct port is on the car as well, with hoosier QTP's, suspension is done, ect ect. I'm am hitting the tracks on june 11th to get some good passes out of it. Can't wait to see how the 100shot will do.:sneaky:
 
Man thats great to know. I take it you bought new OEM valves when you built this head?

Did you back cut the valves at all? Are they single springs or double?

Man good luck....the car is very impressive.

Trying man, trying. I don't think it will do it with the stock tranny, 3rd gear is getting alittle crunchy like a bag of potato chips.

As far as the valves, I had a guy down here do all the machine work to the head, I think he back cut the valves when he cut the seats. And I have singal crower springs set at 1.52" spring height bringing it to about 82lbs of seat pressure. I don't recomend doing this on these springs just cause they will not last long like this. But so far it's been good for me.
And yes I bought brand new OEM valves from mitsu 3 years ago when I built it.

Hoping for 145mph traps on the 11th and very low 10's. I just need to get some more cash in hand to have the tranny done by shep.
 
Stock tranny. Wow nice. Gives me hope that my trannys going to hold the power ill be putting out with my FP Red setup.

Are you saying you shimed the springs to get the extra seat pressure?
 
I was just going through a stressfull debate about wether or not to go 2.3, 2.4, or the 2l that I have always said was the best motor for our cars.

Well you just stopped me from second guessing myself, 2l it is, and congrats, that's a beautiful thing you have there.

Yes that's what he's saying, and the stock valves can handle pretty much any spring you want to use.

evil_eagle, what exactly are you using for a headgasket and head studs to be able to handle 30psi+ and nitrous? Any machining work done to the block/head? Im just curious as to how much work is needed to handle this much boost for a DD. Thanks

Are you on the t67 or did you revert back to the 3575? I read your reviews and was just curious if you managed to work out the kinks with the t67.

Yes I am still on the t67 turbo, I had FP rebuild it with all of there guts and the turbo seems to be doing very well as you can see in the videos.
