a few days ago, i finished my project, new trans, evo 3 install and a few oil leak fixes, well there all fine and dandy...

Im now having a wisle sound when i start to build boost, i got the type s as soft as i can get it i think, i have a new injen intake, not sure if its that. I got it to stop fluttering i guess thats what you call it. thats the minor one.

This is what has me going nuts, new valve cover gasket, ect. But there is on oil leak (i think) or something is leaking on the front left corner, if i rev some smoke comes out and a few revs later it stops, so something is building up and coming out of what i havent a clue, I tried taking some pictures for ya, but my cam doest want to focus today, so sorry for the blurr pictures but i took 4.

Humm nice splooge leaking there. Couple causes exhaust gasket mabe, that plug in your head maybe as well spray it with contact cleaner then watch for a more definate source.

See if there is oil leaking out of that head oil feed block off bolt.
My car had the saem issue and turned out to be that stupid bolt wasn't sealing right, so I put some teflon thread tape on and torked it down a bit more :dsm:

cool, ill wait till it cools down more, and give it a check over, now that i found my bov spring is too soft, thats first, then the this.. is that all i need to check or is there more..

Boost leaks check out fine, the spring on the bov was way lose, i cranked on it, and its fine now , no more whisle :thumb:

now the leak, it is coming from the manifold gasket, when have some one give it gas as i watch, you can see bubbles kinda, coming from it... must of been when my friend desided to use his foot on my exhaust mani to get it in the engine bay :notgood:

i think i got a bad bov, it flutters no matter where the spring is at and still whiles above 2lbs of boost, its driving me nuts.

the exhaust manifold gasket is shot, :notgood: i pulled a po125 today, and a p0170, and tonight was heading out for a night on the town, havent done that in like 5months, and the dang blasted door handle brakes...... :notgood: :barf:

I believe were all done here Chuck you wanna post your results and the fix to rap this one up for others searching. :thumb:

I I captian ROFL

Boost Leak + Whitsle from the unkown = Drive ya nuts

Finding the Whitsle = started over, I took EVERY thing off from the Tbody elbo dow the the SMIC, then i took off the air filter, then moved to removing the Injen Intake.... Then it presented its self.... as soon as i started to pull my intake away from the turbo, and passed the jpipe, CLUNK....

Problem = J-Pipe bolts where backing them self out, inturn BOOST LEAK...

Fix = Jpipe got bolted down first, even tho thats the way i did it in the first time, now with blue lock tight and some locking washers

The Leak Im calling on some help with this one , with the exhaust manifold and such, i dont have a place to pull the turbo AGAIN and such of that nature...
