Ok well let me start out by saying i let my friend change my alternator because i was going to be working all day.:nono: Well I found out he never disconnected the battery when he was doing it and when he went to connect the new alternator he said something sparked. Now i have no brake lights, power windows, power door locks or radio. And i believe my temp guage isnt working either. Anyone have any ideas of what it could be. Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks

He blew your ALT fuse under the hood. Passenger side fuse box, the one in the front(closest to you standing in front of car) right hand corner. You need to use a screwdriver to get it out.

i changed my alt fuse and my wdo fuse or whatever it is. its the one for the power windows and power locks in the main fuse box by the battery. Still not doing me any good though.thanks

cheack all the fuses under your dash and all the fuses under your hood im shure there is just on your over looking. are you shure you changed the 80 amp fuse that takes a 10mm socket toget it out ? it has a clear top i also blew this fuse on mine and had the same problem your talking about

YEA THAT WAS THE FIRST FUSE THAT I CHANGED BUT I DEFINITELY CHECK AGAIN THERE COULD BE A FUSE SOMEWHERE THAT I OVER LOOKED. cOULD THERE POSSIBLE BE A SHORT SOMEWHERE? wELL EITHER WAY ILL KEEP YOU POSTED I JUST ORDERED A NEWER FUSE BOX BECAUSE I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THAT ONE SO ONCE I RECIEVE IT ILL LET YOU GUYS KNOW HOW EVERYTHING IS GOING THANKS ALOT

I suppose it could be the room fuse under the dash, but when we had the identical problem in the Talon, it was the wire to the battery from the alt fuse. After quite a bit of messing around and following wires I found that that is the only fuse that affects all of those(windows, dome light, radio, head lights,ect.). Keep us posted.:thumb:

Thanks alot ill definitely try that sounds like a good possibility. Ill keep everyone posted

like what wolf20043 said..

i messed with the interior lights once.. that fuse blew and i had all the symptoms you had

thats the same fuse dealers have to install when they recieve a new car

I have a similar problem.. the alt. relay fuse blew upon my hooking the negative terminal back up to the battery. What could have caused this to happen?

yeah, check the fuses. You'll probably find a couple blown. It's really not a big deal to fix. Just replace the ones that have blown.
