Finished axles, but.......

Ok I spent Saturday afternoon replacing my axles and ball joints.....Everything pretty much went smooth .....but I was down to my last side and putting it all together, everything is in and I put the nut on for the ball joint and start tightning. The nut gets to the point that it covers the threads and then the thread starts turning, which means that the joint is turning.....Now my question is how would I go about finish tightening it. I know its not safe to drive on, but I spent the better part of an hour trying to get it. Has anyone had this problem, or any ideas. I would really like to finish this by tonight......Everything else went together fine....Thanks

easy fix. just take a jack and jack up on the a arm. then when its up a ways try tightening it again. should work. i have to do this everytime i do stuff like that on my cars.
