I bought the EVO GT from turbochargers.com and I have no complaints. I took a risk of buying something that i thought was a better value then the MHI and im happy it pulls strong and hard. Look to see if they have any vendor announcements on tuners. When i ordered mine if you bought any 16g you would get like 25 bucks off a 2g install kit and free shipping. So it worked out pretty good, or better yet just call them.

I also just bought that kit from turbochargers.com and chose to go with the EVO GT. I also called the guys at turbochargers. They were nice and answered all my questions. The solution kit arrived 3 days after payment. It was packaged pretty good too. With it I also installed the SSAutochrome fmic w/ short route piping. The car pulls really nice and hard. Good luck on your choice.

I will probobaly be getting the MHI Evo III 16g for the simple fact that it is proven to last, and make good power. Now I am not knocking the GT, but I am just going with something that is pretty much fool proof. Did the kit come with everything you needed, or was there some things that were left out?

How does the car pull over stock? Was the install pretty staight foward, this will be my first turbo install. Also, on a side note what would a Turbonetic T04e P trim tubo go for? It was never installed on a car. My friend is looking into buying it and I don't want him to get ripped off. Thanks

The solution kit came with everything you need. You might want to call them about the warranty. I believe they only offer it with the evo gt from talking to the guy on the phone. I am not 100% sure though. Just wanted to point that out if you were also purchasing for the warranty.

Car pulls hard until redline. Make sure you get the fuel mods though, and a better clutch my stock clutch wouldnt hold.

It is a night and day difference from the t-25. Its nice to have a turbo pull all the way to redline. That is the best part. It was also my first turbo install. A buddy of mine came over and we knocked it out in a day.

Im not gonna tell you which turbo you should get because it seems you already know you want the E316 (which is the best street turbo imo). It will get you into 12's if you put some time and a little money into it....maybe even 11's. I got mine from turbochargers.com (the MHI EVO not the GT) and i am completly happy with it. It pulls much harder than the stock turbo at 15psi and im only running it at 10 psi. I wish i didnt have oil problems which are holding me back right now, but as for the E316g its amazing. Also turbochargers.com is the best place for the best price to get it imo. It was fast, in great condition, and was easy to install. Good Luck!

I called turbocharger.com, and they said the reason it says product not found in the link i posted was becasue the 2g install kit is backordered. They will be getting some more in shortly. The kit comes with the MHI evo 3 16g, 2g install kit, and a manifold. Just in case the link does not work, and you were wondering. Also, does any one know about the t04e i posted above thanks.

Why do you want a t04e? You'd need a different manifold, o2 housing, oil lines, and coolant lines. It isn't worth the hassle for you at the stage you're in. Just get the kit you posted.

I think you misunderstood. My friend is about to buy a turbonetics t04e p trim turbo that has never been installed on a car. I just wanted to know how much is a resonable price to pay, so he does not get ripped off. I plan on getting the turbo kit i posted above. Thanks for the help.

I have seen t04e's go on ebay for buy it know $200.00, but I have also seen some go for $700.00. So if anyone has info that would be a great help. The turbo my friend is looking to buy is a Turbonetics t04e p trim. Any help would be great.

Not to hijack but how is the reliability on those evo gt from turbochargers.com that you guys are running. There is a lot of controversy on them but no real hard data. Im looking into new turbos so Im checking out that company and Im deciding between the evo gt and the mhi evo. Is that company pretty good on their support side. It sounds like they are. Thanks. They do have the best prices though. Thanks

I have also been looking and reading into the mhi vs. gt debate alot. Turbochargers.com seems to be really backing their product. I mean they are even offering a warranty. One year or 12,000 miles. I am kind of leaning now more towards the gt. TC.com has a pretty good case against slow boy racing, so I would not be suprised if sbr comes out with a "modified" review of the gt. I have heard nothing but good things from the people who acctually own a gt. To me that is what counts more than what people with no experience with the acctual product say/debate.

I was wondering who has the best price on the evo 3 16g. I have been searching, but with the install kit and turbo prices seem to be all over the place. Like SBR has the 16g install kit for $199, while RRE has it for $325. I came accross this and was wondering if it seems to be a good deal. http://www.turbochargers.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=186&osCsid=1f9804a69c3f67ed01ae684de1d92f83THanks for any help you could give.
Is it me or the links doesn't work what comes with this package.... i see the 16g for only $469 which is a pretty damn good deal:thumb:

GET THE GT! You won't regret it. I have yet to see someone not be pleased with their REAL evo GT from turbochargers. I got my GT fully ported by my shop and they said that the turbo looked rock solid and they were amazed by the quality of the turbo itself. I've had it on for about 4 months now at 18-19 psi and the thing pulls like none other. Turbochargers.com is no joke and they are genuine people, IMHO I tell everyone I see on the fence about the GT because I was in the same boat a few months ago, but I did my research and I'm glad I made the right decision. +1 GT concepts FTW!

The link does not work because the 2g install kit is backordered. The kit comes with your choice of 16g, big 16g, evo 3 16g, or evo 3 16g gt. A 2g install kit, and a new exhaust manifold. All for $699.

730 shipped to your door :thumb:

I bought the 2g solution kit with the Evo III 16G. It was worth every penny. The install took about 20hours (There was one center nut on the manifold that is hard to take off, I cut it in half) But you should have no problems if you are lucky. This kit has everything you need for an easy install. Just make sure when putting on the oil return line, line up the nozzles before pushing them into the rubber hose, also the hose is longer than it needs to be.

The pull on this turbo makes you wonder how you lived with the t25 , there is a huge difference in top end (the t25 would top out at 4500rpm and the E16g is just hitting its stride there and pulls hard to redline)

To answer your question, what is the price the of a new TO4E. If it is cheaper than new, and is for sure the same turbo then it is a good deal. Do some research and you will get a ball park for the turbo.

I would say go with the evo3 16G, it is proven. turbochargers.com has the best price period.

Was wondering if there were any dyno sheets on the Evo GT turbo? Can it make the same HP as a Evo 3 16G, would be nice to know.
