Find out if your 2g came with keyless entry

To find how your 2g came with keyless entry. If you are sitting in your car looking straight ahead on the right bottom side of the dash there are 2 data links (1 clear and 1 black) the black one is what you want check. Top row pin 1 (the one closet to the radio/console) if you see a metal connector inside of it you have keyless entry (you might need a flashlight to see it) this is for factory installed keyless entry only. I don't know if the 1998-1996 has this feature, this was done on my 1999 sypder. This pic does not show the datat log it is showing where it can be founed directly on this side of the drivers side, you actually feel it if you took your hand and felt around. If you cant see the metal connector than you can try the jump wire from pin1 to pin4. Make sure when you do this that the car is off the leave the key out of the igition ok. Once you have place the jumper wire the pins turn to key to acc and then turn it off if doors unlock and lock you have it just need the remote to work it.
