Hey guys been awhile since I have posted anything. For those of you who remember my cylinder self destructing with the cams, I finely got a hold of a new head, and just finished putting it all back together today.

Tracked one down on craigslist, I know I know it's always sketchy but I really took my took my time with a good inspection. According to the previous owner, it was built by a employee at English Racing. It's a clean 1g head, one mill under its belt. Stock springs and retainers, 1mm oversized exhaust valves, and full 5 angle valve job with full exhaust porting.

So once I got it home and tore it all apart, pulled all the plugs out for the oil passages, put 2 cans of cleaner through it, and 30mins with compressed air, it cleaned up great, and everything looks great on it! The cams were also line honed, and everything went together great. Put in my set of 2g lifters , and took my time over the last week getting it all installed.

Ah cool. Nah you dont have to measure them, just as long as they're not super flat and shallow. It really helps head oil flow to round the corner by the hole a little bit too if it wasnt already. We actually didnt go far enough on mine, you can basically gasket match it but we just decided to do it lightly just to be on the safe side. My oil pressure is too high anyways.

Mines high too, alot higher than it use to be, I put in some 10w-40 this time around. Just cause it gets down to the single digits here at night now, and it starts a little easier on lighter oil. But man, running 20w50, it's quite a bit higher

Yeah around where I live it gets super super cold, and i'm running 5W30. But my pressure problem is because I have a block that has no squirters or balance shafts with the OEM spring in the oil filter housing. I'm gonna replace the spring when it warms up; that should take care of the issue fully because my idle pressure is just fine, which tells me the port job we did on the housing itself is fine, I just think the spring is too tight because I can hit 70-75psi sometimes on the interstate.
