im doing a transmission swap on a 1998 eclipse auto...do i have to fill up the torque converter before i put it in?

Yes, I replaced my transmission a while ago and found that out the hard way. When i started the car and put it in gear nothing happened. You will losse a little putting it in but when you top the tranny off it will fill up.

did your old tranny burn up? also if the automatics have a tranny cooler i would sugest flushing it with mineral spirits just in case
