I have the Fidanza aluminum flywheel that has the replaceable surface. I was just curious if anyone else has one and how many miles they got out of the surface. I have put about 8k on mine and I checked it out today and 3 or so of the screws are now at the same level as the friction surface. In other places there is still a decent step between the surface and the screws. Should I replace this frictions surface?

The clutch is an ACT 2600 with a street disk was installed at the same time and the disk still has some grooves on it. I may have launched it 5 times max with a occasional fast driving, besides that its just daily driven. I couldn't get any decent pictures or I would upload them. Thanks

Yeah its still on the motor, I didn't want to take it off unless I needed to. I'm kinda low on funds right now but I don't want it to wear off the head of the screws making them impossible to remove. I'll just go ahead and get the replacement. Its kind of disappointing though that it only lasted 8k miles with no more than 5 launches and no track appearances.

It would be easier to remove it and swap the plate. There is a nut on the other side of the screw.

Yeah I went ahead and ordered it from MAP because it was cheaper shipped than extremepsi, where I normally buy from. I was hoping to be done this coming weekend, but they said it will take 3-4 days for them to receive the item then it will be shipped. Kind of sucks, hopefully the weather will be good for a while.

It almost looks like I can get the friction surface off without removing the flywheel using a screw driver and a ratchet on the back side. I'm replace my oil pan gasket so that's going to make it a bit easier.
