i just got a set of fianza adj cam gears. i am putting my timing belt on and i notice that the timing marks are on the teeth on both cams. on my factory cams there is 1 mark on the tooth and 1 mark on the indention between the teeth. do i still need to line up the marks on the new gears? thanks for the help

I was thinking the same thing about my skunk2's. I'm assuming you install them with the dowels facing straight up on both gears (like factory), and make sure the marks line up on a straight edge through the centerline of the cams, ie the line along the top of the head/bottom of the valve cover.

So no, you DON'T line up the two marks next to eachother, because one of the dowels would be facing down in that case.

Personally I hate the way they did it, but I guess it's not that big of a deal since you have the head there for reference.
