Hey...looking for anyone out there that may be having or have had this problem... It seems that after I installed my FIC 650cc injectors my car is hard to start in the morning when it's real cold outside. If the temp is ~50* it has no problem starting but now in the low 40*'s high 30*'s the car will crank, start then die, atleast the first time, sometimes a second time. Then proceed to run like total shit until half-way warmed up(when im holding rpms at 2000). Anyone else experience a problem with them? Anyone fixed it? THANKS!

why do you have a 255lph with no AFPR?? You will never be able to tune good until you get one. Your fuel is uncontrollable and I would get one right away. People seem to love the 255's just because websites say you need them, but a 190 can easily max out a 16g turbo, even more when rewired.

I dont think the problem lies in the FPR. FIC and Delphi injectors have different deadtime than stock injectors. Since they are larger than stock, they take longer to open, and the lower rpm's/pulsewidths will be too lean if this is not corrected for. This is why 1k rpm setting is around -12ish while the rest are -20ish for 660's. In addition, if you take a look at the actual design of the sprayer on FICs and Delphis, they have a 'shower head' design, the sprayer holes are huge, and do not atomize the fuel NEARLY as well as Densos, RC's , and the stockers.
Because of this, you have trouble during a cold start. The intake monifold is cold, which makes it even harder if at all possible to atomize the fuel. You are just squirting fuel and until the manifold warms up to assist it will drive worse.

I find it hard to believe that the design has such a large impact at this level. I am aware of the injector dead time, the Keydiver chip takes care of that, and Jeff has double checked it.

My car does this with a MAF-T in blow-thru, PTE 680's, an A-1000 fuel pump, and SX FPR. Hot start is fine, cold start is a complete joke.

I'm running DSMlink, with 35% global, and 270 dead time, with the MAF-T's idle cranked up and 50hz maf comp bumped up 35%.

I'm going to call Mike at Fullthrottle, and pick his brain, since I think the MAF-T's blow-thru setup needs a new chip for scaling to a DSM maf in draw-thru.

Hmmm.. The MAFT temp is fixed at 85 deg. I wonder if this has something to do with the problem.

Also, DSMraver, which version MAFT do you have the old 1.3 or the new 2.0 or whatever it is.

Those that are still reading this and have the MAFT, post what version you have and if you are or are not having problems.

I had FIC 650 injectors on and it started fine hot or cold. I had a 255 fuel pump, stock fpr, stock fuel lines, web cams , and a big 16g, super afc. I had no problems tunning it what so ever, until I had the motor redone now cold srarts are a nightmare. The motor only has 500 miles on it. Parts added during the build are: 8.7:1 forged pistons, eagle rods, ported 2g head, 1g intake and throttle body, and super afc 2. Cold start I set the afc @ +22 and when it reaches 190 degrees I adjust it to -32. My stft are @ 0, but the ltft is @ -13 and won't move.
I can't figure out why it ran fine before, and runs like ass now. The temp outside could be 50 degrees and I will still need to change the settings, but runs fine after that unless it sets awhile. My coolant sensors all check out. I forgot I also blocked the EGR valve. I hope to get this issue resoved as races started two weeks ago!!!
