FIBA Motorsport product updates 1G - 2G - EVO

I’m ready to buy when your happy with the finished product
Plans are to have some prototypes done and confirm fitment and snugness. OEM stiffness is generally about 40 durometer which is soft and as they get old fade softer. We will look to be about the 75-85 durometer. This will make it nice and tight.

I'm doing the rack right now, leaking, I'll watch this since I've got 1 month still to go.

I will see if I can get some samples before hand as a checking part. maybe it will be useful for a short while. Do not currently know the timeline so do not hold me to any timings LOL

The MD195137 which is Discontinued are now ready. These will be bent in house and a small batch will be ready the end of next week. These will be live on the website in the coming days for pre ordering ready for you to not miss out on the batch I have.

Many pics for you to see it in different angles etc.

Small things here and there get drawn up from time to time. Just incase things need replacing or we wish to help areas known to have issues and this is one of them.

A lot of times they get rusty and due to being thin get holes in them or dent badly. So as basic and simple as they are they do help keep grit, moisture and any other dirt from entering and can save aload of money from a failure! Sometimes a simple part is worth it.

We are not saying everything will get produced but we wish to certainly try to cover some areas just incase.

These are as some of you know from the design are the rear diff cover seals. This is the 1G version. (2G we do not know if they cross over yet or have a different size)

Our versions would as you know by now be corrosion resistant and stronger!

* Stainless steel would be used for a lifetime product
* Likely would coat it black for visual effect
* Thicker by upto 100% to allow a stronger shield. Less damage can occur then.

Are you going to make these for the 3000GT rear diff as well?
If I can get my hands on one, I can check to see if they cross over and work if not, one can be designed one for sure

How to order a tension arm
Arms are not done yet so cannot be ordered. What is currently sold will be listed on the website inc pre orders and group buys 👍

This one is something that has been on the development cards since the drip rails we developed and remade for the community!

Now a bit more settled, we have managed to start getting back to it, and I am sure many people will be happy and pleased to see these become available in many forms...

We all know the trim pieces are a problem, along with seals. So bit by bit, we are planning to work on some of those over time, and when funding allows us to, of course.
These 2G DSM rear quarter panels and seals will be done in a few options for people to have a choice from.

Option one...
Reuse your OEM glass if still good, and then use the NEW mounting seals to adhere to your glass panel. This will mimic the OEM system and shape closely.
Generally, these are almost impossible to remove without damaging the trim, and a lot of times, not reusable to the same standards once removed!

Option two...
If you wish to shed more weight, then lightweight poly panels will also be available. This is for those wishing to shed weight, or if your glass is broken, then these will be your only option for OEM-perfection replacements. These were molded and thermoformed from good OEM glass panels, so the shape and black surround are as they would be in OEM form.

While we still have a LONG way to go on these trim pieces, be assured they are coming and will help a lot of people out in restorations, renewing your tim from old and faded or damaged/dry rotted trim.

FIBA Motorsport is here to help preserve the chassis as much as we can possibly help with

Another update! more to come to don't forget to come back and check them out

This one is about the Tubular Front subframes for the 2G DSM. I initially designed the customer version with a deeper brace due to feedback from exhaust systems being used so I could over them all space wise.

I personally run a flat brace as my DP is tucked up by the pan and it seems many others are also tucked up! upon request I have now made the flat braces possible for you all. NOTHING changes for the other mountings so you can swap over to flat and use the same parts as previously used trouble free!

please NOTE that this DOES lose you space between but it also now gains you extra ground clearance! so be sure your DP is tucked up or be repaired to modify the DP to suit the new space! please see the LAST 3 pictures of my DP and space. others have had theirs tucked higher then mine but gives you a general idea to go by

Wish for fwd version support. I know we are not the awd but it would be awesome for a few fwd subframe parts

The subframes fit both AWD and FWD Turbo chassis. Nothing differs on that part.
So any of the frames and parts are interchangeable. Only the 420A is the different and is not developed as no one generally wants to invest as much into them and no one has really asked for the 420A frame to be done (well 1 but then backed out)

Excellent because I had no idea if the frames were different

yeah for the most part, the cassis points are the same, the 420a has a different crossmember mounting for the engine/trans the other way around.
but the turbo''s are all the same. I developed the frame from the FWD turbo and then trialed on the AWD after to confirm. Most FWD stuff is swappable in some aspects

Bobby those window trims look awesome!! I have been dreading pulling mine to paint the car. Glad this will be an option!
Thank you. The best thing is later on, no one will need to worry if they ruin them if they remove their glass ever again. They will be able to be bonded to the glass or poly versions once again for a secure and safe connection. This way it is the strongest mounting vs leaving it unbonded, and maybe why Mitsu did that in the first place? As a guess.

As you all know or hopefully do WE do brake calipers and rotors for DSM's and EVO's currently. This will expand into other chassis in the near future (RX7/Supra) is ones being looked into.

We know what we offer is high quality and custom to each person. We still stand behind these as the ultimate in braking and specific to the chassis.

We have been asked for some time and recently from another member looking at more options for the brake rotors for the CTSV folks.

We know they have a few options. (limited options)
  • 1. Space behind the rotor to center and push the rotor out for unmachined calipers
  • 2. Leave the rotor (with enlarged bore size) and machine the caliper
  • 3. Use a small centering ring for the rotor and still machine the caliper
  • 4. uses a 28mm thick rotor! LESS than the caliper is designed for...
  • 5. Lacking rotor brands, quality and surface finishes to a very few bare minimum!

The reason I have been asked this is for a many reasons on top of the listed aboce!

  • 1. More rotor options of higher quality
  • 2. Rotor slot design options are possible but will now include J hook, Slotted and Race slotted as already used (We can do holes and dimples, but only upon request)
  • 3. 2-piece rotors are lighter and offer better cooling for those pushing the calipers/brakes to a limit!
  • 4. Replacement rings will be available
  • 5. NO MACHINING required of the calipers!
  • 6. Proper bore specs, and will use a 32MM thick rotor (vs 28mm). 32mm is the proper thickness to the CTSV caliper/pads! This leads to Better cooling, Better strength and will NOT need the extra 2mm piston poke per side (of caliper)
  • 7. Made specifically for this caliper since the calipers are a cost-effective option and are used by many in the community,

So, based upon the requests thus far, I would like to see if this is something that would be of interest, IF so, We can do a batch of them at a time. No prices as of yet as will need to look into the bells being machined and our rotors come from AP racing in the UK (VERY top quality rotors) so need to see a batch cost of those would be.

Ideally would like to look into 10 or 20 sets.

Some images to give you an idea of them, from bell to rotor

***Surface design and holes are just a visual to show*** (Surface is possible if liked)
