My 92 tsi is bone stock, no mods, I live in Philly always hot & cold, always had bad Idle Surge Winter or Summer. My car idles fine at start up for about just 3 minutes, then Idle Surge kicks in, is it possible after the wax pellet melts it F's up my idle?

Biss, ISC, TPS, all new and working properly!

That Being Said, if I bypass my TB coolant lines, will it prevent the wax pellet from melting in the FIAV and cause the Surge?

Just buy and FIAV block off plate from JM Fab. I have one and they're awesome. The only issue that everyone says I SHOULD have is cold starts, that the car won't idle high. Well I can tell you from first hand experience that my car starts up just fine on these 20 degree nights we've been having, when I get off work, the car idles just fine (800rpms) and I don't that stupid idle up and down issue. The best $20 I've spend on the car...

so did you get rid of the TB coolant lines as well since their only job is to melt the "F"ing wax pellet? did you have to reajust the BISS after the FIAV block off?

for some reason it won't let me send you a PM back so here's a couple of what I tried to sent you....

Yes, I just took the coolant line that goes from the water pipe and connected it to the thermostat housing. My t/b didn't even have a wax pellet in there when I took it apart. I did have to readjust the idle, I have dsmlink so I set that to idle at 800 rpms, after it was set on dsmlink, I just adjusted the BISS to where the car idled at 800. I don't really understand why cars need to be idling at 1200 rpm's when they first start up anyway, I've never had a problem. I've never had to readjust the BISS either, once it's set your done. If you need some pictures just let me know and I'll go out and take some of the water line changes that I did. It's pretty simple though I don't think you can really mess it up. Let me know how you make out man.

Jayson Shelley

If you reroute the coolant line away from the throttle body. The incoming air is going to be a bit cooler, by how much I'm not too sure. I have done it as well but idle is a bit high and a little surge from it but not bay much.

^^^ this is basically what I was trying to explain. Thanks for your "backing up" of what I meant.
