FFWD Piston Coating

If youve got the extra cash its definately worth having. It keeps your engine running a lot cooler and helps keep the pistons lubrcated with oil. I know very reliable engine builders that wont build an engine without it.

Coating's are definately worth it. If you wanted to get crazy you could even coat the combustion chamber and the faces of your valves to keep all the heat in the chamber (most of it anyway), every pro race team is doing this now, from ARCA to F1.

thats alot of $...
is it really needed tho? i mean if your asking about it- your not too sure...
what are your goals? and have others done them without extra expenses such as this?

Seeing as hes spending 7 grand I would assume hes going to need it and $160 is a small price to pay for all the added benefits.

I have Darren's S.O.B. coating on my Ross Piston 7-bolt stroker setup.

I also picked up my stroker butcher crank, bearings and pistons, the coating and cryotreating.

Money well spent.

I have had great luck with my FFWD Connection parts purchased over the years.

I just ordered a 6 bolt stroker xp shortblock for my 2G from ffwd. The price was reasonable, & I know it will be trouble free. They seem to have the best, most comprehensive building programs, based on what else I`ve seen around for the 4g63 turbo . . . :talon:
