FFWD oil filter Bracket????

I'm having a big problem with room with my new setup and the stock oil filter bracket. I want to know how many people are using the FFWD oil filter bracket on their cars and not using the oil cooler?? I just dont want to burn up my new motor not using oil cooler but on their site it says that they use it on their race motors but do they still use oil cooler or not.

It's a factory Mitsubishi part, it works well. You don't have to have an oil cooler, but it does help. You can still use an external cooler if you buy some fittings or a sandwhich adapter.

I run it no problem at all. I have no oil cooler and no problem at all. I think my mechanic took mine off of some type of elantra. Everyone says they are from the mightymax.

They could be from the Elantra as well, I don't know about that. I do know they came on 87-89 Mighty Max's.

I just wanted to make sure that if I don’t use an cooler I won’t kill my new engine. Talking with some people it sounds like allot of them don’t use one at all and never had a problem at all. I just wanted to make sure before I start boosting my engine up. My oil filter housing that I have right now doesn’t have cooler so I think I will just roll with it like that for now. One of my friend had a 481fwhp talon for a long time and he never used one to so and he never ever had a problem at all, and this is in the HOT SOUTH HERE.

My uncle just ordered one for my Aunt's 1g after the new turbo and exhaust install. He had to crush the oil filter a little bit to get it to fit on the stock housing, but I sent him the link so he ordered one, .I doubt he'll be running and oil cooler but he was talking about it so who knows. Does anyone know if someone is planning on makin one for 7 bolts because I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Yep thats it, I use a 2g oil filter and it works perfect.

I bought that off ffwd and have a gigantic fmic and have no fitment issues or anything so I'm just curious why you don't want to run a oil cooler?
