Sorry for any terrible questions. Searching on my phone doesn't work to well. But here goes
Got my motor put back together it's a stock stroke 2.0 with Manley pistons and no balance shaft.
Problem 1 I have been having is a surge only while its cold. I have read it could be the driver in the ecm or the iac? It goes away once its warm and also if I remove Tue wire from the switch on the throttle body that sees when the throttle is opened. I would like to make it correct any ideas?
Problem 2 I have driven it around for about 100 miles and it seems to idle a little rough almost lopey like a can? Is this due to no balance shaft never had a car without it. It has new plugs tried 2 sets of wires can't find a boost leak or vac sprayed brake cleaner around all the typical spots.
Problem 3 twice today I was running around town and if I stopped for 30 mins or so it would fire up but not idle just die. It would stay running if I feathered the gas pedal but wasn't picking up very quickly. It has a new walboro 190 in it. It had a 255 which I removed in case it was overrunning the fpr. I tested it out when I stopped and tried to fire it up and it came right back on.
Sorry its so long but I am on a time crunch with DMV and need to get this thing smogged
