I just got home with a 90 TSi FWD that I picked up for 500 bucks. The first thing that I notice is when I start it, it idles pretty good, a little high but idles. When I try to take off it shudders really bad as if I can't drive clutch, and doesn't build power at all, I can't even go like 10 miles per hour.

Second little thing is, I tried to pull the plugs and instead of getting the hole thing, I only got the rubber cap and was actually disconnected from the rest of the plug? I don't suppose they are suppose to come apart like that. Time for new plug wires? Could that be a cause of the shuddering?

I also noticed that the oil pressure guage goes up when I turn on the car and then when it starts, it falls and goes all the way down. To like as if the car was off. :|
I have had to other of my dsm's do similar and it was just a bad oil pressure sending unit, but I am thinking worse and that is why it runs like crap, but then again it idles just fine, so I am unsure.

Thanks
Doug
P.S Sorry for being so long.
