Well Im having 2 issues I can figure out. I cant get my oil pressure gauge to work. I tapped it into the sending unit wire clip and it doesnt read pressure, it jumps up very slightly and when i hit throttle it goes to 0 psi and done nothing more. Whats the cause of this?

My other issue is with my clutch or shifter. When I start the car up for the first time in the morning, its almost impossible to get my car into reverse. Ill litteraly stand on the clutch as hard as I can and use both hands and pull as hard as possible. It just sits and grinds. After a few mins I can finaly get it into reverse. After I drive for a few it will still grind going into revers but only until it pops into gear. It also is hard to get into first every so often, and when down shifting into second it will grind (not ever time though) and i have to double clutch it to down shift. I checked the cables and all see fine to me. I didnt try readjusting then just yet. I also adjusted the master cylinder rod a few times and it helped for a little bit but now its getting worse again. Any tips for this would be great.

yeah i think the assy is shot. its bolted down tight. guess ill have to get that all now, and replace that all when i do clutch, clutch for n pivot ball.

From the looks of that pic thats a lot of play in the clutch pedal assembly. Try tightening that nut that holds the assembly to the firewall if that doesn't work then your assembly is most likely worn out and will need to be replaced or welded. Just a warning its a pain in the arse to replace.

Is there just one nut? Its a mofo to see well under there. Where approx is the nut located? Ill double check it to make sure. Also what do I have to do to weld it for it to have the full movement? Ill do some research and see whats involved. Might just take the clutch back since Im sure thats not the issue.

Ok Im having a hell of a time trying to get the screw out to tap in my oil pressure sending unit. It will not break loose. any tips?

Ok in this picture. I can install the sending unit in the location of the " good pressure tap " right? I cant get the damn plug to break loose.

The nut is inside the tube that the clutch pedal rotates on. It is a 14mm nut. You will need a1.5-2" long socket to reach it. It is all steel so you will be able to crank pretty hard to make sure it is tight. Then you will get more clutch throw.

I found it easier to remove the drivers seat so I could lay under the dash. The bolt/tube is way up there

Ok thats what I thought. I got about a little over a half turn on it but didnt seem to help. maybe i should get the breaker bar and try again.

that was not fun at all. I pulled the clutch pedal assembly out and got it welded. I think i might have to get it done again they only welded a small bead but i didnt wanna pay for it to get done again so hope fully it helps. I have to bleed the system and pray to god its good. I really dont wanna have to pull it out again. I think this is one of the worst jobs ever i do not reccomend doing this if u cant stand little to no work room and alot of frustration

Yeah I warned you it wasn't a fun job LOL but if it ends up fixing your problem then it will be worth it in the end. How bad was it worn once you got it out and took a good look at it? Even if it doesn't completely fix your problem its a good thing to get out of the way before it did cause issues in the future cause eventually it would have.
