So my caliper conversion is completed. I didn't want the weight of the Evo 4+ brembo conversion and i had a pair of FD3S calipers in the shed so decided to research what rotors i needed to make them fit.

2005 Nissan Altima 294mm rotors fit the bill.

I had some steel brackets cut from high tensile strength stuff they use to repair rock crushing equipment at my family's quarry. Turned out this shit eats taps for breakfast. 5 Taps later i just too the template to a local aluminum fab shop and had them make them from 1/2" 6061.

To fit the calipers i needed to space the wheels out about 10mm so i got some custom spacers out of the UK along with longer studs

Pedal travel has decreased a little and pedal feel is GREAT.

Only issue is that the RX7 rotors are 22mm thick and the Altima ones are 24mm so there is some clearance issues with the caliper. I will be having the rotors cut down 0.5mm on each side to solve that.

Calipers $free
Brackets $100
Caliper rebuild kit $30
Rotors $80
Pads $80
Total $290 give or take $10 :thumb:

Thanks :)

They are alot smaller than the later Evo brembo's. The FD's are similar weight to the Evo3 although there is a difference in weight distribution.

i like it alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! awsome find!
