We have just finished a custom set of headers / external wastegate / custom "J" pipe and some serious porting on the turbo for him. Next were going to convert it to E85 and get a roll cage in it, so that he won't get booted from the track.

There's going to be a few more mod's over the winter, but we'll leave them till later.

I'm really curious what my setup will do in the spring. I run a similar setup. Few months back with OEM cams and IC I went 107 @ 18-19psi on the factory ECU.

Since I added BC stage II cams, FMIC, 780cc injectors, stg 3 chip from dsmchips.com, e30 fuel and pre-turbo and post meth injection. Feels pretty strong at 27psi. I was hoping for 115 traps. After seeing your results I hope i under estimated


I'm curious what the timing was at during these runs? Engine management used?

i think he uses aem.

I thought he seemed pretty open about all his combo. If he's running AEM he could just post the whole graph for us! :thumb: Lets keep the DSM's fast, performance secrets are the domestic guys!

I'll post up what worked best for my 2JZ, old school PT66 turbo, 110 octane. Surprising how low the timing numbers were. Raising the timing netted me no gains in MPH. Actually lowering timing right in the middle of the grid right where the turbo really started to spool up increased my 1/8th traps. YOu can really see what I'm talking about in the second graph picture. I know it's not a DSM but, but it may be worth a try.

Hey Man,
The Car uses AEM, But i dont do any of the Tuning. I also just went to turn on my laptop and the dam thing wont turn on :ohdamn:
I dont know if you have found the most recent thread on this car but it ended up going 11.2 @ 125mph with a set of QTP's.

I think i may add pictures to this thread as the car has been completely dissembled in prep for the cage that is going in as we speak.

I was curious, so i gave my tuner a call and asked the questions you were interested in knowing.
He advised that my cars timing peaks at approx. 18 degrees at 27 psi and 7500 rpm and my AFR at the same point is approx. 12.5.

I know its no chart but i hope it answers your question.

It does let us know there is nothing magic in your combo. That's pretty standard timing and AFR's for race gas. Timing is even a little on the conservative side IMO. I'd be interested to see what the "stage II" heads flow over the stocker. I'd bet it's alot!

I was going to say - get that restrictive 1G crap out of there and let that sucker breathe!
That alone I bet will trap 130s.

Combo that external gate with an EBC and enjoy the wicked fast spool with rock solid boost control.
 
Wow, this gets me excited about starting on my car! I was at 24psi on my 16g, but never got to the track or dyno'd (bottom end locked :( ). Great 1/4 times!! 16g 4 life hahaha.
 
There has been some work done on this car in preparation for the 2010 season.
Some weight reduction has started, the motor is out and some go fast parts have been added :hellyeah: ie: wastegate, ported turbo, and header.
The car has been sent to get a 8 point cage put in. So i have some time on my hands LOL.
When the car comes back i will be putting some polly bushings in the front subframe. Then paint the interior and cage. After that the car is going back out to get some new exterior paint. Im pumped for the 2010 season the car is going to be virtually unrecognizable after paint.

Wow Impressive 16g numbers I can't believe it went so fast with only 18degrees of timing. I'm hoping to get into 11's on a e316g also. those traps speeds are crazy according to the traps your over 500whp.

Thats the reason why im haveing a shop put in the cage LOL

I didnt weight the webbing, but if i would have to gues it was probably in the 15lbs range.

Defenatly running the 16g next year... The car just keeps hauling. Once i find the limit for the 16g on my setup, then i will move on.
