Fan Belt

Ok so Im probably gonna get crap for asking this but I left my manual at work and I have been trying to find out how to do the fan belt. The water pump alternator one, but its not on vfaq and I cant find it on any of the forums. If someone could help me out I would appreciate it thank you.

What is "do the fan belt"? DSMs don't have fan belts. Do you mean how to replace the alternator/waterpump belt?

On the underside of the alternator bracket, there is a tension adjustment mechanism. I can't remember if it is threaded, or if it is a stud/lock bolt design. In either case, you start from there. Loosen the assembly, and you will soon feel the whole alternator swinging around an opposite point on the bracket.

Keep loosening until you have enough play where you can remove the belt. Then put the new one on the same way the old one came off. Finally, tighten the whole thing with the alternator tension assembly.
