I've been planning to install meth injection and use Nitrous controls in Link to activate it as described in this thread:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/nitrous-alcohol-water-injection/284140-dsmlink-nitrous-controls-meth-injection.html
My only concern is that if for some reason the meth/water injection system does not activate and a much more aggressive timing and leaner aux fuel maps are activated it could be too late to back out by the time I react to the knock CEL. I know there is a level indicator you can add but what about some other failure. So, I got to thinking and have an idea but want to run it by you all and see what you think.
The idea is to use a pressure switch of some sort (hobbs?) that is tied into the actual meth/water line that activates the idle switch. This way, instead of using the FPS output activation to both activate aux maps and also turn on the meth/water pump, you just use it for turning on the pump only and use the idle switch ECU input to activate the aux maps instead.
This way the aux fuel and timing maps will cannot be used unless there is actually pressure in the meth/water injection line.
The only issue I can see is if there might be a bit of delay causing a rich moment but perhaps backing off the adjustment delay on the aux maps screen could accomodate that. Comments, suggestions?
