Factory CD player won't accept CD's....WTF???

My factory cd player simply spits the cds out that I try to get in. E01 or something like that shows on the screen when I put a cd in.

Is there any way for the cd player to accept the cds or do I need to get a new cd player?(I'm short on money right now )

Pre-recorded, or burned? They're older players, and can sometimes be stupid about burned discs.
Otherwise, eBay or replacement.

I don't know if a CD "cleaner" disc would be worth the bother.

I tried a burned and a original cd. The cd player doesn't accpet either one.
