F4A22-2 limitation

i have a Hyundai Elantra GLS with this trans, it has power and normal mod plus overdrive on or off, i was wondering if it would be able to handle about 350-600hp, form my built motor. the trans will be in stock from.

5 speed break more than auto. and the car is fwd with a 60-1 turbo.

Agreed - I don't know why people always want to convert to a manual and make their cars slower, less reliable, and harder to drive. If you increase the line pressure (every other post in this subforum deals with doing that) it will handle the power you are talking about. You'll also want to get a looser torque converter and a better transmission cooler. As far as your choice of turbo, I think the 60-1 is a laggy turd. You'll want a turbo that spools up more easily with an auto unless you are ok with adding a nitrous kit too.
