External Wastegate and boost controller?

Either way works. The idea is to get a stiff enough spring so that the WG doesn't blow open under high boost, and use a MBC to delay the opening of the wastegate beyond its spring rate.

:thumb: Agreed.

I have a 15 psi spring in my car, once it gets running, i will not need a boost controller unless i want to run over the 15 psi. The 15 psi will be the minimum boost i can run on it. I will eventually be getting the profec b controller and remote, so i can launch at 15 then switch to 20 or whatever i choose. When u order your external wastegate you can vary which psi spring you want to come with it.

Is there a way one could tighten that spring to boost less? or is it set at a certain point? I have the Turbonetics RaceGate..

I know in a Tial you can change the springs, i'm sure the one you have is the same. You just have to order a new spring for whatever you want your minimum psi to be. What is it set at right now?

It's different in each gear like I do a 1st and 2nd pull it is at 18 psi 3rd and 4th it's around 20 psi.. I'm going to get my car dyno tuned on 91 octane next week do you think the psi I'm set at is ok or do you think I should just get a boost controller?

The reason why I don't have the Joe P MBC is because we did a I did a three way turbo w/ manifold swap with my friends and the one of the guys ended up getting my MBC. Now he says he can't find the MBC that was suppose to go to me, he says for me to just go to a shop and buy one for $25. I bet he didn't even look for the MBC that was suppose to go to me.
