exhaust side of turbo

What do you mean the exhaust side of the turbo housing? You mean the turbine housing itself? Or the outlet of the turbine housing? I'm confused.

I only saw it for a second because I was in a rush. It is the exhaust housing I think. Haven't had car running in a few days, so I'm not sure if there is even a boost leak there or not. Just going to replace to make sure. ty ramsack

A crack in the exhaust housing won't be a boost leak. If it is bad enough it will affect spool, but cracks need to get pretty bad before spool is affected greatly.

Its on the exhaust side of turbo housing... I'm not 100, but I think it was the first housing on exhaust side.

She is getting some body work done to her right now, (maybe a body kit... BW won't like that) and I'm in the mood to shell out some seriour cash this xmas, so I'm going to fix anything that might lead to problem. Crack is not large and dosen't appear deep, but I'd rather fix this than replace turbo. Sleeper 16g is perfect for my DD.

LOL, you guys stop playing games with him. We know he means the turbine housing, AKA hotside of the turbo. That part is common to crack, ive got one, with horrible cracks, and all the way threw the housing to the outside of the turbo. It looks bad, but worked great! The only part i worry about is the housing melting and rubbing against the turbine fin of the turbo.

It should be fine to run and last for years. It's actually kind of tough to come by a used 14b or 16g without a crack in the turbine housing.

If I remember correctly, it was a pain in the ass to take off from actual turbo housing

what blackwidow said is true and, it tough it you have that stud in the hotside. Because then you pretty much have to take the oil and coolant lines off the turbo and take the whole turbo out. I eliminate the stud and the collant lines to make it easier to remove the turbo or hotside, or both.

Well I still have my t25 housing on there. Thus Sleeper 16g, emphasis on sleeper. I bought car like this and have odne on maintnence, so am not sure about there being bolt only hotside or not. I'll find out tomorrow or day after when I pick up radiator and take some pics
