Hey I was wondering what a good exhaust setup is for a 91 tsi awd? I need something that flows good and also sounds good. I am looking for a down-pipe and also the cat-back system

You'll need to do research to answer your own question. Different exhausts for different goals.... ya know? Read up then if you have questions, look at DSM Reviews

i recomend a 3 inch setup. i have an rnr downpipe and tubular o2 housing i thought the product was ok, nothing to special. but i would buy from them they are real competitive with prices.

I agree with 3 inch all the way back. People always think 2.5 will be enough but they always end up switching to a 3.

3" all the way back with a magnaflow muffler to get a nice growl instead of a whine that some exhausts give. With the awd there are minimal bends so you should be able to take it to any exhaust shop and they can just throw it up there for ya really cheap. I do have a magnaflow 3"in/3"out muffler for sale with RRE dual chrome tips to give it a stock look if you are interested or just want pictures to see what I am talkin about pm me. do a search for Magnaflow on here EVERYONE loves it :thumb:

is it a really deep sound? how does it sound in the uer rpms? could i see a pic too

I don't have a soundclip of the magnaflow because i didn't install it but there is one floating around here somewhere on the board. here are the pics of the muffler and tips.

The Thermal R&D cat-back (also had a 3" cat-less downpipe) was arguably the sounding exhaust I've ever heard.

that will give you an IDEA but it will be alittle bit quieter on a turbo car because the turbo acts as a natural muffler. That exhaust is for the GS/RS and most of those cars sound really raspy sometimes.

i would also suggest a 3" for ur car, since its turbo. if it wasnt turbo, a 3" can be a little too big, unless you have done a lot of mods. the 2.5" is a comon exhaust size for prople, because it is not as expensive as a 3", and it will fit the turbo and n/t. however, i do like the 3" because it does have a growl to it, and its not a typical can sound u get with civics that got the 2.5" or 2.25".

Nope our cars will NEVER sound like a civic thang god :barf: you will get alot more credit at the track if you don't annoy the shit outta people with a nasty exhaust LOL. My car sounds like a mean v6 at idle because it has a slight miss but all the domestic guys LOVE it.
