Exhaust Recommendations?

this kid around here has a glasspack and it sounds really bad, I don't like that raw sound at all. that might be cause I hear he punched a hole in it though. but I think that sounds too rough. I like a loud steady flow of sound, but when it's all broken up and sounds like a car without a muffler, it's not me if you know what I mean...I like the muffler I put on above, but I don't know about the gold look, maybe I could get gold rims on my white car?

actually the B5 is a straight through muffler which is much more free flowing than the one that comes with the pacesetter so you will feel a gain. As far as rust, I dont have a problem. The pacesetter is made of aluminized piping which is what some stock systems are made of so rust wont be a problem for quite some time

So the only difference between the normal pacesetter and adding an obx to the end of it is possibly a tiny bit of performance (either plus or minus) and a big change in sound?

oh, dont get me wrong the performance increase is cool, but the look and sound of the B5 is great! The muffler makes it deeper and louder. In fact I got pulled over by a cop today and he was like "You didnt do anything wrong, I just wanted a closer look at your car" I was relieved, but then he said "your car sure is loud, you didnt modify the muffler did you" I replied with, "No, I have an exhaust leak" he then walked to the back of the car and looked. When he came back he was like "you may want to get that fixed and winked at me but it sounds good" I was like hell yeah thanks

so i've done the intake and pulley, would this be my best bet for my next mod. or would you guys suggest an alternate route?

I would have to say go ahead and go the exhaust. From this point on most mods you do will be increasing the amount of air going in to the engine so it would be best to improve how you get it out.

well, this isn't fun, I don't like having to order something not knowing exactly what my car will sound like with it on, it sure would be nice to be able to pick a sound! any other mufflers out there cheap but nice, like 100 or something like that...
