2G exhaust manifold stud pulling out

I was putting on a new OEM 4 layer copper gasket and I got all the nuts torqued down good except for one. It would just get kinda tight but never fully tight. I noticed that it was pulling the stud out of the head. I still have the nut on the stud just not very tight. You guys think I will have an exhaust leak with having one stud loose? Seems like all the other studs will keep it tight?

You "Might" not get an exhaust leak, ive seen many cases where people are missing 1 or 2 studs and they're running just fine..

Although it sounds like the thread is stripped in which best/easy way to fix is dropping in a heli-coil

If its the middle stud, bottom row, it will need to be fixed because it also serves as a plug to an oil galley

Is there any way to fix it with the manifold on? And its not the middle one on the bottom.

you'll have a boost leak but as long as the other three bolts are in tight its nothing you'll notice
you should be able to take it down to a machine shop and get re-threaded for pretty cheap

Um There wont be a boost leak.

You may have a somewhat hard time trying to put in a helicoil with manifold still on it. I would take it off. Because you will have to drill out the hole where that stud is and re-tap it then put in a helicoil.

I'm just gonna keep it how it is and see if there is a leak. If there is I will fix it next week. I just hope there isn't, but I guess we'll see.
