In a game where we port and polish for that tiny little bit of extra, I don't feel bad for at least asking about this.

Looks like the previous owner had an EGT setup and plugged in the hole on the exhaust manifold with a bolt.

I notice the bolt appears to be blocking exhaust flow a little bit. Is that something to worry about? Could I back the bolt out a little and put some junk on there that can withstand heat without having to take it to get welded? I wouldn't ask any questions about "cold weld" stuff a few years ago based upon experiences, but I keep surprising myself in that department as technology gets better.

Here is a pic.

Thanks

I highly doubt that is enough to rob even a few HP from you. If it makes you feel better, you could take that plug out and put in a short plug. Or at the very least shorten your existing plug. I have the same plug in my exhaust mani and the thought never crossed my mind.

Thanks, yeah it is just one of those...while you have it apart type of things. :)

Don't think it would have any measurable effect on performance, but if it makes you feel better do it.

If nothing else u could use a straight grinder with a small stone on it to smooth it out itd take a lil time but hey attention to detail is always key
